Steven Alexander

Senior Pastor

Bro. Steven Alexander came to FBC Colbert as Senior Pastor in March of 2018.  Ministering in Oklahoma churches for 35 years, he previously served as youth/music/assoc. pastor at Crescent Valley Baptist Church in Tahlequah, then as pastor of FBC Bennington, and just prior to Colbert, as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Muskogee for 20 years.  Bro. Steven has a true partner in life and ministry in his wife Lorie who energetically serves alongside him.  He is the proud father of 2 adult children and Papaw to 5 grandkids.  He enjoys cattle, coin collecting, fishing and watching college football.  Boomer Sooner!!!  Bro. Steven has passion for pastoring and preaching and appreciates the unique opportunities that lie ahead for FBC Colbert. 

Youth Pastor

Michael McElroy

Worship Leader

Michael and his wife Stacy have been involved with ministries the last 17 years, though none greater than raising their two children Payton and Liam. Michael has a degree in sociology from East Central University and a degree in Christian Ministry from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary. Michael has serves as youth leader, song leader, preacher, bible teacher, as well as writing curriculum for all ages and assisted living home ministries. McElroy's also have a love for Karate at the House of Shinja (believers) in Kingston, Ok where the work to instill biblical concepts through karate instruction. Michael also has a passions for missions, his life verse is Isaiah 6:8 which shows through his servant heart. He and Stacy are excited to be apart of what God is going to do at First Baptist Church of Colbert!

Elaine Lashley

Secretary

Elaine became church secretary on August 14, 2018 and reports "there has never been a dull day since."  She is both diligent and cheerful in her work.  Elaine  is a lifelong resident of Colbert.  She is married to Daniel  Lashley and has been blessed with a wonderful family...past and present, loving her church family as well. In addition, she serves the church as an accomplished pianist.  A passion for music, particularly the piano began at an early age.  She started playing the piano some at church when she was about 12 years old and played for a wedding at 14.  Since then, she has played for many funerals, weddings, and church services.  Elaine is grateful for all the opportunities, encouragement, love, and support she has been given through the years.
